The Long Goodbye?
Having a movie website of my own was a dream come true for me. I love writing and talking about movies, and it is a good marriage. But, I have decided to cease operations indefinitely. It was a very hard decision to make. There are several reasons but the biggest is that it is just too difficult to run a movie website on your own while working full-time.
I want to sincerely thank Alex and John for jumping into this with me. Alex had to part several months ago, but I appreciate his contributions. John is an extremely busy man but has been extraordinarily generous with his time and talent in putting this site together and keeping it running. I wouldn’t hesitate to continue working with either of them if we restart this venture…which brings me to my next point.
We Hate Hollywood is taking an intermission. Will we return? I don’t know. I am retaining the domain name for any possible future fans. But it probably won’t happen soon unless I find some writers/film lovers willing to pitch in (wheels are turning on that), or I become extraordinarily wealthy and do it full time on my own.
