What Do You Hate?

Posted by paul On September - 1 - 2009

This site is devoted to what we hate about Hollywood, but we want to know what you hate about it also. Drop us a line below. Please don’t just rant and rave about Hollywood in general. Give us something specific and substantive. Use good sense…we believe in free speech but racist comments, flaming, things like that will be removed. Basically, don’t be an asshole. Also, if you post “First!” here or in any other comment section, that will be removed.  People that do that tend to be narrow-minded Cro-Magnons who crave special attention like Jabba the Hut craves frogs.  Please be an adult and stay focused on the topic.

  1. Tricia Said,

I guess a few things I hate about Hollywood would be, if they’re going to come out with a horror movie by all means please make it believable and stop stealing from others with remakes and plots we’ve all seen before and could recite from memory. And enough of the horror movies.

Also, stop making dumb toy/tv movies that come across as an adult speaking to a not too bright child. I have a child, children’s movies are great but PLEASE give my husband and I an alternative at the theater that isn’t horror. It seems like all Hollywood can come up with is cartoon, TV remakes and bad horror films. Common people!

I’m tired of seeing movies that I wonder whoever hired the creativity department should get fired. Where are the up and coming Steven Spielbergs and George Lucases we sure aren’t seeing them yet.

Also, Hollywood actors and actresses please keep your opinions (political or otherwise) to yourself. We pay to go to watch your acting not to hear your personal views. We have our own and we don’t need you to advise us how we should vote, feel, wear our clothes or anything else. Just ACT that’s all you’re required or all we desire for you to do. Yes, you have freedom of speech but please don’t use your celebrity status as a platform. In other words, if you ain’t acting SHUT UP!

  2. molly Said,

I have seen very few intelligent, entertaining flicks. The Unusual Suspects may well have been the last one. Yes I have viewed numerous movies since but, for the life of me none have been more than marginally memorable. Apparently it is assumed that the audience is as intellectually as challenged as are many of the “stars”. Prime example is Sean Penn that is obviously over wrought with self delusions of authority and importance. He is an excellent performer (so was Flipper) however, a sage pundit of world issues he ain’t!! Celebrities condescendingly preaching to the public of how we should vote the way they tell us, follow Al Gore, use their diet, etc., etc.,etc. wreaks of immense arrogance.

Also, can Hollywood make a G rated movie that actually is innocent like a child? Curse words, vulgarity, sexual innuendo is a daily part of our lives soon enough - let the children be entertained with innocent movies.

I simply hate the politics if Hollywood. They all discover their inner Gahndi after they make 20 million per picture and get their estates in Malibu. Hollywood liberals forget that before a woman’s right to choose or gay rights, the cornerstone of liberal philosophy is the redistribution of wealth. I defy anyone to tell me that Hollywood or any of the entertainment industry epitomises the redistribution of wealth, far from it.

  4. joe Said,

I agree with jason. These hollywood douchebags are so pompous and arrogant. My guess is that they read an editorial from the New York Times and are pressured by the overtly gay culture of hollywood into mindless liberals. The worst part is that they think they are revolutionaries but they are merely following the herd. The TRUE free thinkers in hollywood aren’t the people like Sean Penn or George Clooney but the underground conservatives. Kind of sad that in such a “progressive” environment only one side can express themselves freely.
